About Us
Based in Houston, Texas, Ramex is committed to investing at least $100 million over the next several years in buyouts and special situations.

Our background in law and finance enables us to evaluate complex deal structures, including out-of-court restructurings and bankruptcy reorganizations. Ramex, Inc., founded in Houston, Texas, in 1987, is a family office. Our investors include high-net-worth individuals and institutions, who provide strategic relationships, insights, and experience. We aim to invest up to $10 million per transaction and can partner with others for larger deals.
Simon Wachsberg
Managing Director
Simon Wachsberg, Managing Director, brings over 25 years of investment experience, having served as both a direct investor in Ramex, Inc.'s portfolio companies and a limited partner in private equity funds, hedge funds, and special purpose entities.
Mr. Wachsberg has extensive expertise in all facets of the M&A process, including sourcing, evaluating, structuring, executing, and managing leveraged buyouts and growth investments across various industries. He has held roles as Chairman and Interim Chief Executive Officer for multiple portfolio companies, collaborating with skilled managers to enhance operational efficiency, drive revenue growth, and increase profitability.
Simon began his career in private law practice in Houston, Texas.
He holds a B.B.A. with High Honors and a J.D. degree from the University of Texas and an M.B.A. from the University of Houston.

We are open to companies across a wide variety of industries.
We prefer companies with existing management teams.
We do not typically consider early-stage or venture capital investments.
We recognize that historical profitability may not always be relevant.
