About Us

Based in Houston, Texas, Ramex seeks to invest at least $100 million over the next several years in buyouts and special situations.

Simon Wachsberg

Managing Director

Simon Wachsberg, Managing Director, has more than 20 years of investing experience as a direct investor in portfolio companies of Ramex, Inc. and as a limited partner in private equity funds, hedge funds and special purpose entities.

Mr. Wachsberg has extensive experience in all aspects of the M&A process including sourcing, evaluating, structuring, executing and managing leveraged buyouts and growth investments across a broad array of industries.  By serving as Chairman and Interim Chief Executive Officer for multiple portfolio companies, he partnered with talented managers to drive operational efficiency, revenue growth and enhanced profitability.


He began his career in private law practice in Houston, Texas. 

At the University of Texas, Mr. Wachsberg received a B.B.A. with High Honors and a J.D. degree.  He received his M.B.A. from the University of Houston.

General Criteria

  • Companies with $10 - $100 million in revenue, although we will consider interesting opportunities of all sizes.

  • We are willing to consider companies in a wide variety of industries. 

  • We prefer companies with management in place.

  • We do not typically consider early-stage or venture capital investments.

  • We understand that historical profitability may not be relevant in many circumstances.
